Minimise your ground noise to zero
The Clef-Audio Ground Zero is an audio ground noise stabiliser. It enhances your Hifi or AV system with crystal clear sound by eliminating noise. The all-new MKII version has a fully new internal structure and was made with greater precision than the first model.
The Ground Zero is a stylish passive cylindrical unit that comes with a detachable RCA cable and doesn’t need a power supply. The cable is designed to connect to a unused RCA socket of your equipment like a music server, CD/SACD player, DAC or amplifier.
Ideally, the unused RCA socket should be a digital input or output. If a digital socket is not available, a left or right analogue RCA input/output can be used instead. Simply connect to your system via the supplied RCA cable for remarkable improvement in sound quality. You will notice the Ground Zero has a good overall character and improves the sound without changing the original timbre.
The benefits are:
– Lower noise floor
– More natural instruments and vocals
– Increased air and spatial qualities
– Truer, more accurate detail of instruments
Each piece of audio equipment is designed with specific circuitry that operates using direct current (DC), consisting of positive, negative, and ground terminals. The ground terminal in each device acts as a reference point for all internal circuits.
In many parts of the circuit, it may also serve as a path for noise signals generated during operation, resulting in the reference point shifting.
Ground Zero is an accessory that enhances and supplements the grounding system’s ability to manage this noise. It absorbs and eliminates this noise faster than standard audio circuits, resulting in more stable circuit operation.
This leads to a significantly quieter background noise, more refined details, fuller and more relaxed vocals, and deeper, tighter bass.
These effects allow users to experience a closer connection with the music they are listening to.
How to use:
1. With analog gear, on the player, preamplifier, or integrated amplifier, connect the RCA cable to an unused RCA input or output jack.
2. With digital gear, for CD players, digital media players, or streamers, use the RCA end of the cable and plug it into an unused coaxial digital input or output port.
3. It is highly recommended to experiment with different RCA connectors on all your audio equipment.
4. Your Ground Zero can also be used in conjunction with your loudspeakers, in that case, connect the selected connector to the negative pole of your loudspeakers. Use one Ground Zero per loudspeaker.
5. Also possible is use in conjunction with a distribution block or -strip. In that case, specify a spade connector at the cable.
5. Plug the other end of the cable, which always has a banana plug, into the binding post on the back of the GND-ZERO housing.
